STATE OF THE GAME
Greetings and meetings all,
It feels like its been awhile since we have all had a good old fashioned catch up and meet up. This is an open letter to all guildies about the current state of the game and the guild as a whole. As most of you are aware already, Tera has come to a crashing halt due to a variety of factors. It has become increasingly difficult to find groups to run stuff with and the atmosphere seem quite...dead. This letter will address why this has happened and also what beholds in the future for Amaterasu.
Why this has incurred?
1. The biggest reason is simply the lack of content and progression. People are sick of easy mode FINM, KD and other simple content, and after obtaining Starfall, that incentive to run these dungeons drops even lower.
2. Other games such as Blade & Soul. This honestly works hand in hand with the previous point. I personally am spending a lot of time on XCOM 2.
3. Real life committments. This is inevitable for any computer game, but again this has more of an incentive to focus on RL due to point [1].
What the future beholds
So its not all gloomy news, fortunately there is always a light at the end of every tunnel. Let's quickly go over what were expecting in the not to distant future.
1. Kira's potion shack is back! The prizes look fantastic and this is certainly a nice incentive to run more dungeons. This combined with the increased drop rate for hearts should create a boon of dungeon running.
2. The guild IRL meet up! This is happening this very weekend in New York and it sure is exciting to see how close we have become and grown together. With at least 10-15 people going, and a nice mix of girls and guys, I'm sure you guys will have a blast! Also, SS or it didn't happen?
3. The hype from other games dying down. Most of the people playing B&S have already told me that they will be back in full force for the next content patch. I personally have almost finished XCOM, infact would have finished it already if my save file didn't get corrupted...
4. New dungeons only just a few weeks away! March draws near and Dreadspire is lingering just around the corner.
5. Guild Events! The officers are organizing a fun little guild event which may involve bombing other guildies in their face!
Closing Thoughts
While we all may be feeling a bit down as the game just doesn't feel as active as it used to be, the whole point of this is to show that our future is bright. We have a LOT of applications for the officers to go through for some potential fresh blood to help liven up the atmosphere. Before we know it, Dreadspire will be here and we will be bigger and better than ever! So hang in there team!
